Hello again, everyone.  It has certainly been a while
since I have updated this site.

As many of you know by now, last year was a
challenging year both emotionally and spiritually.
My younger sister, Deborah Austin, fought a good
fight with the disease, breast cancer.  She was an exceptionally courageous and brave individual,
who through her pain and suffering, still managed
to smile and joke often.  I think in her heart, after
her diagnosis in August 2005, she had resigned
herself to the fact that this disease was going
to get the better of her.  Yet, with steely deter-
mination and up until the very end, she fought
back mentally and spiritually.  The disease had
claimed her physical self, chipping away at her independence day by day, yet she constantly
challenged it, her defiance up until the very end
to keep the smile of defeat seated upon her face.
Yet even when her pain was too much for those
around her to stand and bear, she gritted her teeth
and refused to complain.  My wonderful sister, my
heroine.

So as always, the ethos of this site is to inspire,
to break down the walls of complacency, to
empower people to step outside the box.  This
is a forum where we learn about people's triumphs
and achievements. This is a place where we
discover in essence who we are at our very core.

The spirits of people like my sister will live on in
those close to them.  My sister's spirit drives me everyday.  I miss her terribly.  We were very close.
Yet I have a vision and a mission regarding my
life and I know that with her spirit carrying me ALL
 THINGS ARE CERTAINLY POSSIBLE.  She
leaves behind her mother, myself and a younger
sister, who grieve her everyday - yet for us there
is still life, which is the most precious of gifts
anyone can ever ask for.

Her death has put so many things into perspective, especially the saying "to live each day as if it was
your last."  So why procrastinate.  If there is some-
thing you have always wanted to do, do it now.
If there is someplace you have always wanted to
go to, plan for it now.  If you have always wanted
to ask someone for forgiveness, or tell someone
you love them - just do it now.  The only surety
we have is the here and now.  The future, even
tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Like Nike States - JUST DO IT.
